STANFORD, Calif. - The Stanford men’s golf team earned the top seed in the NCAA Tucson Regional Championships. The Cardinal earned an automatic bid into the event after winning the Pac-12 Conference title last week in Salt Lake City.
The NCAA Tucson Regional will be contested at the Gallery Golf Club, where Stanford won the 2014 Pac-12 Championships.
Six 54-hole regional tournaments will be conducted May 16-18. Thirteen teams and 10 individuals not on those teams will compete at each of three regionals while the other three regionals will have 14 teams and five individuals not on those teams. The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals.
Stanford is one of four teams in its regional that made the NCAA Championships in 2015, along with Oregon, UAB and Georgia Tech. The Ducks will host this year’s NCAA Championships (May 27-June 1) at Eugene Country Club.
