The trio took home three prestigious awards. Meehan was named USA Swimming's Coach of the Year, Ledecky won Female Athlete of the Year for a record fifth consecutive year, and Manuel earned her second pair of Golden Googles for Female Relay of the Year.
"We all set big goals, and it means a lot when you see your goals accomplished on the scoreboard, but my first goal in the sport was to make friends," Ledecky said on Sunday. "I want to thank all my friends in this room for making me love this sport so much."
Ledecky had arguably the best freshmen season in the history of collegiate swimming. Over the course of her first year at Stanford, Ledecky set five individual American records and seven individual NCAA records in three different events, and broke Stanford team records in five different individual events en route to five All-America honors. She became just the second freshman to win the Honda Cup. In addition, she won six medals at the world championships to become the most decorated female swimmer in worlds history.
Manuel, who won the Golden Goggles for Female Race of the Year in 2016, took home another pair this year. She was a member of the world-record setting 400-meter medley relay along with Lilly King, Kathleen Baker and Kelsi Worrell. The foursome won the world title with the record time of 3:51.55.
Meehan, who coached the U.S. women at the world championships, led Stanford to the 2017 NCAA women's title -- the program's first national championship in 19 years. Also under Meehan's direction, the world championship women's team earned 14 medals, 12 of them gold.
No. 1 Stanford went 3-0 in dual meets during the Fall and resumes competition with a pair of home meets against Arizona (Jan. 19) and Arizona State (Jan. 20). The team will host an autograph session after the meet against Arizona State.
