STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford will be chasing its third consecutive conference title when the America East Conference Championship gets underway at the Varsity Turf on Thursday, Nov. 1.

Stanford will be playing host to a postseason conference tournament for the first time since the NorPac Conference Championship was held on The Farm back in 2011.

Quarterfinals are scheduled for Thursday and Friday, followed by semifinals on Saturday and the championship match on Sunday.

Stanford (13-5, 5-1 America East), which has won back-to-back America East Conference titles, earned a share of the West Division title with Pacific. Both teams finished the regular season 5-1 in conference play and split the regular season series. The Cardinal earned the top seed by virtue of outscoring the Tigers 5-4 in the two regular season meetings. Pacific will be the No. 2 seed in the West Division, followed by No. 3 California and No. 4 UC Davis.

Albany is the No. 1 seed in the East Division, followed by No. 2 Maine, No. 3 Vermont and No. 4 New Hampshire.

Of the eight participating teams, three begin the week in the national rankings: No. 15 Maine, No. 17 Albany, No. 21 Stanford.

The entire championship will be streamed for free at AmericaEast.TV and will be available on computers, tablets and smartphones.
