STANFORD, Calif. – Seniors Maya Doms and Kennedy Wesley have been named Scholar All-Americans as selected by United Soccer Coaches on Thursday.
Doms earned a spot on the first team for the second consecutive season, while Wesley landed on the third team.
Doms, a United Soccer Coaches All-America second team selection, adds this accolade following being named to TopDrawerSoccer's Best XI second team on Wednesday. The native of Davis, Calif. earned All-Region and All-Pac-12 first team honors this year while appearing in 18 matches and starting 15. Doms, listed on the MAC Hermann Trophy watch list prior to this year, scored four goals and added five assists to total 13 points.
Doms carries a 3.57 GPA as a human biology major, and previously earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District first team.
Wesley was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Pacific Region first team after starting all 22 matches at center back this year. The second-team All-Pac-12 selection helped Stanford post 12 shutouts and limit opponents to just 0.55 goals and 8.60 shots per game. A native of Rossmoor, Calif., Wesley was named to College Soccer News' National Team of the Week on October 3.
The College Sports Communicators Academic All-District first team honoree sports a 3.59 GPA as a psychology major.
