ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Multi-events All-America Harrison Williams got some work at the Cherry and Silver Invitational indoor track and field meet at the Albuquerque Convention Center this weekend and was among three Stanford athletes competing.

Williams, a junior who will redshirt the outdoor season to extend his collegiate career to 2019, competed in two heats of the 60-meter hurdles, as well as the 400 and high jump. His top finish was fourth in the 400, running 48.41 on Saturday.

Williams advanced to the semifinals of the 60 high hurdles, failing to advance to the final by one spot, and finishing ninth overall at 8.39. He also was 10th in the high jump at 6-2 ¾.

Marisa Kwiatkowski and Nicole Summersett also competed in Albuquerque. Kwiatkowski competed in both horizontal jumps, placing seventh in her specialty, the triple jump, at 39-10 ¾ and 14th in the long jump at 17-10 ¾.

Summersett, a sophomore making her collegiate indoor debut after a redshirt season, was 10th in the pole vault at 11-9 ¾.

Williams is a two-time top-five NCAA finisher in the decathlon and was fourth in the 2016 NCAA indoor meet in the heptathlon. He is the Stanford record holder in both events.

Next week, Stanford will have more athletes involved. The distance medley relays and women's 4x400 will seek NCAA qualifying marks at the Penn State National meet and the bulk of the team will compete at the UW Invitational in Seattle.
