Voted Best Sports Bar AND Best Bar (Palo Alto Weekly 2006-2011)! The Old Pro is not only a favorite for local sports fans with discerning palates, but it is also "The Spot" for downtown nightlife- serving the entire menu until 1am, later than any other restaurant in town. Since 1962, OP has been Palo Alto's oldest and most recognized sports bar. We also add more fun and excitement once our mechanical bull "Bull Buckner" bucks and spins riders of all ages. Want more fun? Take a picture of yourself and friends in our photo booth! Finally, 32 HD TV's (60 inch and larger) ensure that EVERY sporting event can be watched in fun and comfort. GOT GAMES? WE GOT EM"ALL!

Since its opening in 1974, beef and martinis have never gone out of style in this Palo Alto institution. The atmosphere is very clubby with fireplaces, dark wood, sports memorabilia and plush leather booths tucked into the many nooks throughout the dining room. Famous for their prime rib, they also offer fresh seafood, lobster tail, shellfish & of course their aged prime graded steaks. The 23 oz. Prime Bone-In Ribeye Steak is the "Boss' Favorite" and a close second is the Double Cut Prime Filet Mignon. There is a martini lounge and extensive award winning wine list making this steakhouse one of the best on the Peninsula.
