Parking Information

Parking Disclaimer: Visitor parking is enforced on weekdays, 8am-4pm, unless otherwise posted. Hourly visitor parking is available through the ParkMobile app or website. Stanford Athletics is not responsible for ParkMobile app, visitor and hourly parking enforcement. Stanford Athletics is not responsible for stolen, lost or damaged personal property.

Parking is free, and located in the Varsity Parking Lot and Lot 2 (El Camino Grove), and Track House Lot. Lot 2 is not available on home football game weeks. Varsity Lot Parking can be accessed via Nelson Road, off of Galvez Street, north of Stanford Stadium. Lot 2 is located just north of Cagan Stadium, accessed via Nelson Road.

A ticket is required for every fan over 24 months old to enter Cagan Stadium. To purchase tickets click here.

Stanford students can attend games for free and must have their SUID to scan at the gate.

Alcohol is not sold at Cagan Stadium. Possession of alcohol is not permitted at Cagan Stadium.

Stanford University prides itself on offering alternatives to driving to campus. Below are the most commonly used transportation alternatives to reach Cagan Stadium. Bart:

BART provides transit service on the San Francisco Peninsula and throughout the East Bay. Stanford riders can connect to BART at the following stations: Millbrae, Fremont, and Union City.

 

Caltrain:

The Palo Alto Caltrain Stations are just a short walk to Cagan Stadium. Visit caltrain.com for schedules and additional information.

Marguerite Shuttle Service:

The Marguerite Shuttle is a free shuttle service that travels the Stanford campus loop.

SamTrans:

SamTrans connects the Palo Alto train station (and the free Marguerite Shuttle service) to all of San Mateo County (north of campus), including service to the San Francisco International Airport.

Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition:

Stanford University is a bike-friendly campus. The Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition will guard your bike during the game.

Valley Transportation Authority (VTA):

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) runs along El Camino Real.

Pets are not permitted to enter Cagan Stadium.

The closest ATM is located at Gate 2 of Stanford Stadium.

Stanford Athletics has implemented a Clear Bag Policy for all athletics events. This policy limits the size and types of bags that are permitted inside athletic venues. 

Approved bags include clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC bags that do not exceed 12”x6”x12” and small clutch bags or purses no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” (approximately the size of a hand0 with or without a handle or a strap. Click here to learn more about the Clear Bag Policy. 

Small cameras, under 6" without cases, are permitted. Tripods are not permitted.

Concessions are sold at the Sunken Diamond stand near the main entrance of Cagan Stadium. Fans will receive a hand stamp for re-entry when exiting Cagan Stadium to purchase concessions.

Stanford Athletics is committed to serving its fans by providing a safe and celebratory gameday experience. The Fan Code of Conduct has been established to ensure that fans’ Game Day experience is consistent with that commitment.

Failure to follow this code may result in ejection from the facility, revocation of ticket privileges and/or arrest.

All fans are expected to refrain from the following behavior at all events:

  • Any action that disrupts other guests' enjoyment of the game 
  • Engaging in action that causes a disruption or interferes with the game
  • Profanity or other offensive language, whether spoken or appearing on apparel
  • Smoking or use of e-tobacco products
  • Throwing of items or liquids
  • Entering the court or field of play at any time
  • Failure to retain ticket and/or present it to event staff if requested to do so
  • Resale of tickets at the venue
  • Violation of state or local laws
  • Possession of any item listed on the “Prohibited Items” list
  • Use of foul, abusive, obscene, or discriminatory (on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, gender identification, age, race, national origin, religion, military status, disability status or any other characteristic) language or gestures
  • Fighting, taunting, or threatening remarks or gestures
  • Intoxication or signs of impairment related to alcohol or drug use. Fans that appear to be impaired will not be permitted into the stadium and may be subject to arrest.
  • Failure to follow the directions of law enforcement or stadium management
  • Sitting in a seat other than one's ticketed seat location
  • Smoking and/or tobacco use (including e-cigarettes)


Stanford Athletics reserves the right to determine what constitutes unacceptable behavior. Fans are encouraged to report inappropriate behavior to team/venue personnel by texting the Athletics hotline at 650-200-CARD for immediate response on game day.

The department welcomes fans’ help in its efforts to provide an enjoyable experience for all.

Doors to Cagan Stadium will open to the public one hour before kickoff.

Fans should download their mobile tickets prior to arriving at the event. Tickets stored in your mobile wallet can be easily opened from your device’s home screen on the day of the event and do not require WiFi or cellular service to be accessed. Screenshots will not be accepted for entry.

All guests are subject to search before being admitted into any athletic event (see bag policy).

The information below is subject to change without notice.

The following items are PROHIBITED inside the Stanford athletic venues:

  • Alcohol of any kind and illegal drugs
  • Animals (except service animals)
  • Artificial noisemakers
  • Non-clear bags larger than 4.5”x6.5” or clear bags larger than 12”x12”x6”
  • Balls, whole fruits/vegetables (unless cut into small pieces) and other potential projectiles
  • Balloons
  • Banners and/or signs
  • Bicycles, skates, scooters, skateboards, roller blades, and roller shoes
  • Cameras with lenses longer than six inches
  • Clothing that is derogatory, profane, scanty, or offensive
  • Fireworks
  • Hard plastic, glass, ceramic or metal bottles, hydration packs, and soft plastic bottles (need to be sealed or empty) larger than 20 oz.
  • Laser pointers
  • Metal seatbacks (unless ADA compliant)
  • Open containers
  • Open umbrellas
  • Poles, selfie-sticks, monopods and tripods
  • Remote controlled devices of any kind (cars, drones)
  • Seat cushions larger than 18”
  • Strollers or portable chairs (unless ADA compliant)
  • Tobacco products (including e-cigarettes)
  • Video Cameras
  • Weapons, replica weapons


Additional items may be denied without notice for the safety and security of all participants, fans, and staff.

Prohibited items and facility rules subject to change during post-season events.

Fans will receive a hand stamp for re-entry when exiting Cagan Stadium. A valid, unscanned ticket or the re-entry hand stamp must be provided for entry into the stadium.

Smoking and the use of tobacco products (including e-cigarettes) is prohibited.

Accessible seating is located at the ground level on the west side of the stadium. Fans may purchase tickets for accessible seats or receive assistance from event staff if special accommodations are needed.
