Laird Q. Cagan Stadium Information & History
The facility underwent renovations in 1997 and 1998, which included the installation of permanent seating on the west side of the stadium, lights, a new Daktronics scoreboard, and an upgrade of the natural grass playing surface at Maloney Field (115 yd. x 75 yd.) and Ueland Field, an adjacent practice field.
In 2010, Cagan Stadium was further improved with the installation of higher permanent fencing and windscreens, and upgrades to the irrigation, drainage, and playing surface. Nearby, an all-weather turf practice field, Johnson Field, was installed.
The most recent renovation was completed in October 2011. An elevated Reserved section with 416 chairback seats and a pressbox was added to the east side of Cagan Stadium. Incorporated into the structure is the Leo Weinstein Field House, which includes team and referee locker rooms, a sports medicine area, and public restrooms.
