Ann Meyers Drysdale Watch List

STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford senior forward Erica McCall was named to the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award midseason watch list the U.S. Basketball Writers Association announced Tuesday. The award recognizes the women's basketball national player of the year.
 
McCall is one of 28 players to make the midseason cut and one of seven from the Pac-12. She leads Stanford in scoring (16.2), rebounding (8.6) and blocks (1.7) and is in the top 10 in the conference in each of those categories.
 
Also on watch lists for the Naismith Trophy, Wade Trophy and Wooden Award, McCall is one of three players in the country averaging 15.0 points on 50 percent shooting, 9.0 rebounds and 1.9 blocks since the beginning of last season. The senior is 30th in school history in points (1,153), ninth in rebounds (804) and fourth in blocks (171).
 
McCall is tied for 14th among active players with 28 career double-doubles and has 26 in her last 54 games. In seven Pac-12 games, McCall is averaging 15.5 points 9.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game, one of five players in the nation averaging 15/9/2 in conference.
 
Balloting for the USBWA's Women's All-America Team and the association's individual awards will take place in March. The Ann Myers Drysdale Award, National Coach of the Year and the Freshman of the Year awards will be presented at a news conference in conjunction with the Women's Final Four in Dallas.
