STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford will have enhanced audio coverage on gameday for both men's and women's basketball beginning with the 2017-18 season.
Both teams will have live audio broadcasts of all their games available for free via SIDEARM Sports and hosted on GoStanford.com.
The men's basketball broadcasts will also be available on TuneIn Radio, one of the industry's leading live streaming and on-demand audio services. TuneIn Radio can be accessed for free online or via the TuneIn Radio app. Select men's basketball games will be available for subscribers of SiriusXM Satellite Radio.
"We are excited to showcase our programs on these platforms, which should increase the overall gameday listening experience for our fans while maximizing exposure for both teams," said Tommy Gray, Stanford's Associate Athletics Director of External Relations. "We look forward to continue offering contemporary programming options for our broadcasts."
Men's broadcasts will shift from KNBR 1050 AM, which had previously served as the flagship network. Scott Reiss (play-by-play) and John Platz (analyst) will continue to anchor the broadcast, which begins 30 minutes prior to tipoff with Stanford Shootaround.
The expanded programming includes the addition of women's broadcasts, which had previously been covered primarily by Stanford student radio station KZSU 90.1 FM. Kevin Danna and Tim Swartz will share play-by-play duties during this first season of GoStanford.com radio coverage, with the pregame show scheduled to start 15 minutes prior to tipoff.
