STANFORD, Calif. – A school-record eight Stanford women's basketball student-athletes received recognition from the conference for their combined work in the classroom and on the court when the Pac-12 announced its women's basketball All-Academic teams on Friday morning.
Brittany McPhee and Erica McCall landed on the Pac-12 All-Academic second team while Shannon Coffee, Kaylee Johnson, Briana Roberson, Alexa Romano, Karlie Samuelson and Alanna Smith each earned a spot on the Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention squad.
To be eligible for selection, a student-athlete must have a minimum 3.0 overall grade-point average, at least one year of enrollment at the institution and appear in at least 50 percent of their team's games. True freshmen are not eligible for Pac-12 All-Academic teams.
Stanford's eight honorees were the most in the Pac-12 and surpassed the seven the program had in 1988, 2011, 2014, 2015 and 2016.
