Fan Code of Conduct

Stanford University and the Pac – 12 Conference are committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable sports & entertainment experience. People attending Stanford sporting events have a right to expect an environment where: 
 
• Guests will be treated in a consistent, professional and courteous manner by all Stanford event staff. 
• Guests will be allowed to enjoy the events at Stanford venues free from disruptive behavior, including foul, abusive, discriminatory, obscene or threatening language, gestures or actions.  More specifically, Stanford explicitly prohibits such language and behavior that are based on characteristics including, but not limited to, gender, sexual orientation, gender identification, age, race, national origin, religion, military status, disability status or any other characteristic.
• Guests who are under the influence of alcoholic beverages or any other intoxicating substance who behave in an irresponsible manner will be handled in a prompt and safe manner.
• Guests will sit only in their ticketed seats and show their tickets when requested. 
• Guests will not engage in fighting, taunting, throwing objects, attempting to enter any competition surface or field of play or other conduct that will disrupt the competition.  Those who engage in any of these actions will immediately be ejected from the contest. 
• Guests will smoke in designated smoking areas only. 
• There will not be any obscene or indecent messages on signs or clothing, or obscene or indecent conduct.. 
• Guests will comply with requests from Guest Services staff regarding venue operations and emergency response procedures.
 
The Guest Services and event security staff has been trained to intervene where necessary to help ensure that the above expectations are met, and guests are encouraged to report any inappropriate behavior to the nearest Guest Services team member, or event security personnel. Guests who choose not to adhere to this Code of Conduct will be subject to ejection without refund and potential revocation of season tickets.
