STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford had a conference-best 10 athletes named MPSF All-Academic Scholar-Athletes – tying its number of awards from both 2015 and 2016, as announced by the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.
The Cardinal's honorees include Jacob Barrus, Grant Breckenridge, Jordan DeClerk, Andrew Misiolek, Akash Modi, Robert Neff, Taylor Seaton, Barrett Weiss, Gareth Weiss and Drew Willoughby.
To be considered an All-Academic Scholar-Athlete selection, student-athletes must hold a GPA of 3.0 or higher, be at least a sophomore with one full academic year completed at the member institution, and have competed in 50-percent or more of the institution's competitions.
The Cardinal will wrap its season this week with the NCAA Championship Qualifiers and Championships. The Championship Qualifiers will be held Friday with Stanford in the first session at 10 a.m. PT in West Point, N.Y.
