STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford will play host to an NCAA Regional as the No. 2 national seed, as announced Monday by the NCAA.
The Cardinal (44-10 overall, 22-8 Pac-12) welcomes Baylor, Cal State Fullerton and Wright State to Sunken Diamond – it is the 17th time Stanford has hosted an NCAA Regional. Stanford opens the tournament against Wright State (39-15) at 7 p.m. PT on Friday following the Titans' (32-23) and Bears' (36-19) matchup at 2 p.m. The double-elimination format continues through Monday, with all games available on ESPN3.com.
Stanford's opening contest will appear on ESPN2 with Cal State Fullerton and Baylor's matchup appearing on ESPN3. Game times for Saturday, Sunday and Monday (if necessary) are to be determined. Regional tickets will be available here starting Tuesday at 9 a.m. PT.

The Cardinal (44-10 overall, 22-8 Pac-12) clinched its first Pac-12 Conference championship with a 6-5 win at Washington on Saturday. Stanford finished 1.5 games ahead of Oregon State and 2.0 ahead of the Huskies.
Stanford owns a 141-74 (.656) overall record in 33 postseason appearances, including a 63-16 (.797) clip in contests at Sunken Diamond. The Cardinal, which hosted regionals in 2012 and 2017, last reached the College World Series in 2008.
