Glozman Named ACC Freshman of the Week

First-year is the No. 6 ranked player in the country

STANFORD, Calif. – Valerie Glozman was named ACC Freshman of the Week when the conference announced its weekly award winners on Tuesday.

Glozman was dominant in singles in Stanford’s ACC-opening wins over Syracuse and Boston College. Playing at No. 2, the freshman beat the Orange’s Nelly Knezkova 6-1, 6-1 and the Eagles’ Seren Agar 6-2, 6-0. She’s 5-0 against ACC opponents this season, 9-2 overall in duals, and a perfect 22-0 against unranked opponents in 2024-25.

Glozman teamed up with Connie Ma in doubles to pick up two more wins at No. 1. The pair beat No. 55 Miyuka Kimoto and Knezkova of Syracuse 6-4 on Friday, before routing Boston College’s Agar and Nada Dimovska on Saturday 6-0.

Stanford returns to action on Friday when it hosts No. 60 SMU at 1 p.m.
