Duo earns all-conference accolades; Glozman voted Freshman of the Year

STANFORD, Calif. – Valerie Glozman was voted ACC Freshman of the Year and landed on the six-person All-ACC Singles First Team along with Connie Ma when the league announced its postseason honors on Thursday morning. The pair also landed on the All-ACC Doubles second team.

Glozman won a league-high three ACC Freshman of the Week awards in her debut year on The Farm, all in the last six weeks of the regular season. She heads into the NCAA Tournament with a 29-5 overall record, a 16-3 mark this spring, and an 12-1 record against ACC opponents. Glozman has already earned All-America honors following a run to the quarterfinals at the NCAA Individual Championships in Waco in the fall. She is the eighth Stanford women’s tennis player to win conference freshman of the year honors all-time, joining Katherine Hui (2024), Ma (2022), Michaela Gordon (2018), Kristie Ahn (2011), Mallory Burdette (2010), Hilary Barte (2008) and Amber Liu (2003).

Ma has been just as dominant this spring with a 14-1 record. She's 26-5 overall this year, including 12-4 against nationally-ranked opponents, and is the No. 11 player in the country. A senior, Ma earned first-time all-conference honors in each of her four seasons at Stanford. She’s put together a 128-28 career record, including 65-14 in duals, and is 60-18 all-time against ranked opponents.

Ma also already secured All-America honors in the fall by advancing to the Round of 16 at the NCAA Individual Championships, earning singles All-America status for the third time in her career.

Stanford is the only school with multiple student-athletes on the All-ACC first team. Glozman and Ma have split time on the top two courts all season.

Two-time ACC Doubles Team of the Week winners, the duo also was named to the All-ACC Doubles second team after putting together a 21-9 record, including 14-8 in duals all at No. 1. They head into the NCAA postseason as the No. 23-ranked pair in the country.
