STANFORD, Calif. - Stanford sailing was well represented in the PCCSC year-end awards that were announced by the conference on Monday, as the Cardinal claimed all three major awards along with eight all-conference honors.
Vanessa Lahrkamp was Women's Skipper of the Year for the second consecutive year, marking the fourth major PCCSC award of her career, also being twice named the PCCSC Open Skipper of the Year (2023-24). Stanford has housed the last four Women's Skipper of the Year honorees, as Lahrkamp joins Sophie Fisher (2023) and her sister, Michelle Lahrkamp (2022).
Sophomore skipper Luke Woodworth collected the conference's Open Skipper of the Year award, becoming the fifth recipient of the award in program history, joining Vanessa Lahrkamp (2023-24), Jake Parkin (2022), and Will La Dow (2017).
Dylan Sih rounded out the Cardinal winners with the PCCSC Rookie of the Year honor. Previously awarded to both the open and women's divisions, Sih joins Thomas Sitzmann (2024), Romain Screve (2018), and Christina Sakellaris (2018) as the program's PCCSC freshman honorees.
The Cardinal's PCCSC All-Conference Team honorees, which is categorized by crew, open skipper, and women's skipper, consist of women's skippers Sophie Fisher and Vanessa Lahrkamp, open skippers Reade Decker, Dylan Sih, and Lucas Woodworth, and crew Ava Cornell, Kit Harned, and Alice Schmid.
