STANFORD, Calif. – Theo Snoey picks up his first career AVCA All-America honors, the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced today.
The junior from Berkeley, Snoey landed on the AVCA’s honorable mention list. Stanford now has 78 All-America awards all-time.
Snoey leads the MPSF with 4.13 kills per set and 4.70 points per set, and ranks 10th with 0.34 aces per set. A two-time MPSF Offensive Player of the Week, he led the team in kills in 17 of 25 matches played. The outside hitter hit .300 or better in 15 matches and tallied 20-plus kills on six occasions.
In the MPSF Tournament, Snoey led the Cardinal with 4.38 kills per set on .277 hitting, 0.38 aces per set and 5.12 points per set. Stanford made its fourth consecutive MPSF semifinal appearance – the longest such streak in program history.
