12 Gymnasts Earn ACC All-Academic Team Selections

Stanford's 12 honorees are tied for the most in the conference

STANFORD, Calif. — In their first season competing in the Atlantic Coast Conference, 12 student-athletes from the Stanford women’s gymnastics team were recognized for their academic achievements, earning spots on the ACC All-Academic Team, the conference announced Friday. 

Stanford’s 12 honorees were tied for the most among conference opponents. Clemson and UNC also had 12 awardees, while Pitt and NC State garnered 11 honors and California earned seven selections. 

Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one’s academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests.
