- Competed for the U.S. at the 2019 Cadet World Cup events in Bratislava and Rome
- Earned a team gold for the U.S. at the Coupe Danube in Bratislava, Slovakia
Prior to Stanford
- Trained with Silicon Valley Fencing, where he was coached by Aleksei Murugin and Maksym Petrov
- Earned silver in junior men's team foil at the 2019 Junior Olympics
- Placed in the top 32 in the junior foil at the 2019 Junior Olympics, and in the top 64 at the Division 1 NAC
- In 2018, was in the top 32 in cadet men's foil and top 64 in junior men's foil at the Junior Olympics
- In 2017, earned an A-rating and was seventh at Cadet NAC, also placing among the top 32 at the summer nationals in junior men's foil
- In 2016, was sixth at the Division II national championships
Personal
- Parents are Tim Knight and Chi Huang
- Has a younger sister, Skylar
- Held research internships in machine learning and computational neuroscience during high school
- Competed in Model United Nations for seven years
- Volunteered as a teaching assistant for civics and current events in an after-school program for at-risk youth
