Hentz Honored, Again

STANFORD, Calif. – Stanford libero Morgan Hentz has been selected the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week.

Hentz collected 5.86 digs per set as No. 2 Stanford defeated then-No. 24 Utah, 3-1, and Colorado, 3-0, on the road last week. The Lakeside Park, Kentucky, native had 26 digs against the Utes, one shy of her season-high, and followed up with 15 in the sweep over the Buffaloes. She also did not record a reception error in 31 combined attempts.

It marks the fifth career and fourth weekly honor of the season for Hentz. Stanford now has 111 player of the week honors all-time.

Hentz leads the Pac-12 with 5.08 digs per set this season. The Cardinal has won 12 straight matches and sits alone atop the Pac-12 standings at 6-0.

No. 2 Stanford plays host to No. 21 Washington State on Friday at 8 p.m. and No. 18 Washington on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Both matches will be televised on Pac-12 Networks.
