CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Stanford sailing kicked off its 2021 campaign in New England, taking fourth at the Boston College team race from April 2-3.
Stanford won seven of its 15 races, including a 4-1 mark in round two. Stanford was skippered by John Kirkpatrick, Michelle Lahrkamp and Justin Lim, and crewed by Abigail Tindall, Ashton Borcherding and Patricia Gerli.
Racing in FJs, the Cardinal topped Connecticut College in the opening round with the top two boats in the race. Round two included wins over Boston College, Connecticut College, Roger Williams and Tulane, including the top finisher in each duel.
Stanford beat Connecticut College and Tulane in the final round.
The Cardinal continues its schedule April 9-10 at Connecticut College.
