Lucy Bell broke a new Stanford record in the 200 breaststroke, while three other Cardinal swimmers posted new "Stanford Top-10" times to lead No. 3 Stanford to a 180-119 victory over eighth-ranked California on Saturday afternoon. 

The feature performance of the meet was Bell's 2:05.10 performance in the 200 breast for the fastest time in Stanford program history. The Fort Collins, Colo., native bested Katie Olsen's previous record of 2:05.88 set in 2014. Bell also added a new career-best time in the 100 breast to complete the breaststroke sweep, clocking a 58.30 to climb to second all-time in the event.

Men's Basketball improves to 12-1 at home

       

Stanford men’s basketball continued its unbeaten start to ACC play at Maples Pavilion, downing Syracuse, 70-61, on Wednesday night. The Cardinal improves to 15-6 this season and 7-3 in the ACC.

Maxime Raynaud led the Cardinal with 21 points and 15 rebounds, along with three assists and three steals. The double-double was his nation-leading 17th of the season, and the big man moved into the top-five in program history in career rebounds.

 Led by a season-best team total, No. 15 Stanford took down No. 23 North Carolina 197.250-195.775 inside Maples Pavilion Friday evening.

The Cardinal swept all individual event titles, as junior Anna Roberts secured her third consecutive all-around and bars top finishes and added the top score on vault. Sophomore Sienna Robinson brought home the beam and floor titles, her second and third event wins of the year.

Men's Tennis Sweeps Socal Trip

          

No. 13 Stanford men’s tennis continued its winning streak away from home, beating USC 4-2 and sweeping No. 25 UCLA 4-0. The UCLA win marks Stanford's fourth straight victory and fifth overall this season. The road sweep in Los Angeles marked Stanford's first sweep of the LA schools since 2021-22 and the first road sweep since 2008-09.

After helping Stanford to a road sweep of UCLA and USC, Samir Banerjee and Henry von der Schulenburg have been named the ACC Doubles Team of the Week.

Fencing Shines at Schiller Duals

                  

The Cardinal men's and women's fencing teams wrapped up the 2024-25 regular season at the Schiller Duals, posting a dominant weekend. The men finished 9-1, while the women's squad finished 8-2 including a win over No. 10 Ohio State.

The men's team opened with four-straight wins to open on Saturday, before dropping the lone competition to No. 6 Ohio State. On day two, the Card went a perfect 5-0.

The women's team only fell to a pair of top-10 squads – No. 8 Cornell and No. 5 Northwestern.

Stanford Beats Pitt

      

Elena Bosgana and Chloe Clardy combined for 28 points and 13 rebounds and Stanford snapped a two-game skid with a 58-46 win over visiting Pittsburgh on Thursday night.

Clardy scored 12 of her 14 points in the second half and pulled down a career-high seven rebounds. 

As a team, Stanford was 15-for-15 at the line, a program record for makes without a miss, surpassing a 14-for-14 effort at Arizona State on Jan. 11, 2019.

Five different Cardinal gymnasts earned event titles in Sunday afternoon's meet, as No. 2 Stanford knocked off No. 8 California, 316.250-309.150, for its third win over the Golden Bears this season.

Stanford returns to action next weekend, hitting the road for a tri-meet against No. 1 Oklahoma and No. 15 Simpson on February 8 in Norman, Oklahoma.

Cardinal Comes From Behind

                 

A fall by Nick Stemmet and a major decision from Peter Ming helped No. 15 Stanford come-from-behind to defeat Oregon State, 22-16, Friday, at Gill Coliseum. Stanford (8-2) won six of 10 bouts to pick up its first win over Oregon State (1-7) since 2021.

 Stanford returns to The Farm next week to play host to No. 10 Virginia Tech on Friday in Maples Pavilion. Action gets underway at 7 p.m. on ACCNX.

Sweep at Jessica Beck Invitational

    

With four event wins on the afternoon, Stanford staked its claim as champions of the Jessica Beck Invitational for the second consecutive year. Stanford, which finished with 88 points, cleared national title contenders Ohio State by eight points with Wheaton and Michigan following in third and fourth with 52 and 46 points, respectively. 

Stanford’s depth continued to showcase itself on Saturday - much like it had two weeks ago in the season-opening win over Incarnate Word - with a handful of veterans and promising young talent paving the way toward an overall team win.
