Evanston, Ill. – The Cardinal men's and women's fencing teams wrapped up the 2024-25 regular season at the Schiller Duals, posting a dominant weekend. The men finished 9-1, while the women's squad finished 8-2 including a win over No. 10 Ohio State.
The men's team opened with four-straight wins to open on Saturday, before dropping the lone competition to No. 6 Ohio State. On day two, the Card went a perfect 5-0.
The women's team only fell to a pair of top-10 squads – No. 8 Cornell and No. 5 Northwestern.
The foil continued to be a favorite the Cardinal, as the men went 10-0 and the women finished 9-1. Freshman Renzo Fukuda led the way with a near-perfect 24-2 record, while Sanjay Kasi and Benjamin Shih each went 23-3. On the women's side, Ellen Wang finished 17-3 to lead all weapons.
Stanford is back on Saturday, Feb. 22 for the program's first trip to the ACC Championships at North Carolina.
