Block S Society
The Block S Society is a group whose members are Stanford varsity student-athlete alumni. The moment a varsity student-athlete graduates or leaves Stanford, they become a member of the Block S Society. The mission of the Block S Society is to honor varsity student-athlete alumni for their contributions to Stanford Athletics and keep them connected to all things Cardinal through social, educational, and philanthropic endeavors.

Stanford Alumni Mentoring
Stanford Alumni Mentoring (SAM) is an online mentoring program designed to help current students connect with alumni to navigate their life at Stanford and beyond. SAM has been part of Career Education in the Office of Student Affairs since 2002.
Block S Society members can create a SAM profile and join the Block S Society group to mentor current student-athletes and help them to navigate life as a student-athlete at Stanford, as well as after they graduate. Varsity student-athlete alums in the Block S Society group can also interact with each other, developing a vast network to connect with during the various stages of their career.

Complimentary Event Tickets
Block S Society members are eligible to receive one (1) complimentary ticket to all regularly scheduled home sporting events on a space-availability basis. Block S Society members can purchase additional, adjacent tickets when claiming their free ticket. The ticket claiming periods occur online on a weekly basis beginning at 9 a.m. the Monday prior to the eligible sporting event and ends three hours prior to the event.Tickets are not available for special events, postseason, or NCAA championships. Complimentary Block S tickets are intended for the exclusive use of the former Stanford student-athlete and may not be resold. Stanford Athletics reserves the right to revoke complimentary ticket claiming privileges from any account determined by Stanford Athletics, in its sole discretion, to be in violation of this policy.

Ways to Stay Connected
Mentor current varsity student-athletes and connect with other former student-athletes through the online Block S Society group in the Stanford Alumni Mentoring (SAM) network.
Receive a complimentary admission ticket to regular season home games (baseball, basketball, football, soccer, and volleyball).
Attend the Buck/Cardinal Club Block S Society tailgate with fellow former varsity student-athletes during Reunion Homecoming Weekend.
