Cascade Locks, Ore. - Skipper Liz Roundtree, sailing with crews JuliePitts (light air) and Margia Corner (heavy air) earned first place in B-Division at this year's ICSA Women's North American Championship for theGerald Miller Trophy. For her excellent results throughout the year,Roundtree was selected as a Women's All-American Skipper by the ICSA All-American Committee.

In A-Division, Jennifer Porter with crews Liz Shearer (heavy air) and AnnaVu (light air)earned 12th place. The Stanford Team earned 7th overall incollege sailing's most prestigious women's event.

Rain and varied wind conditions allowed for only 13 of the scheduled 18races to be held in the three-day event. Stanford's success can beattributed to their depth and excellent crew work. "When we couldanticipate the wind condition, we could switch seamlessly between heavy andlight air crews," explained Head Coach Jay Kehoe. "These women have workedso hard and it shows with their ability to compete at this regatta."

Stanford's Coed Sailors compete at the Coed Dinghy Nationals this week. The event is sailed in the same double handed FJ dinghies from May 27 to 29at Cascade Locks.
