The Course

• Nestled in the rolling hills of wine country, Silverado Resort and Spa features two championship courses – the North and South. Both have been redesigned by World Golf Hall of Famer Johnny Miller, and wander through historic oak trees. Elevated tees and strategically placed water hazards make both courses fun and exciting challenges.
Silverado has a longstanding history with the PGA Tour. Current site of the Safeway Open in October, the resort previously hosted the Kaiser International (1968-76), the Anheuser-Busch Classic (1977-80) and the Transamerica Senior Championship (1989-02).

The Field

• The 18-team field includes No. 3 Stanford, No. 28 Cal, No. 33 Colorado, East Carolina, Gonzaga, Hawaii, Iowa State, Long Beach State, No. 13 Northwestern, No. 48 Oregon, No. 35 Pepperdine, No. 39 San Jose State, San Francisco, No. 30 TCU, No. 36 Texas Tech, UC Davis, No. 6 UCLA and Washington State.

The Format

Spring Cleaning

• The Cardinal have competed in four events during the spring season, winning three.

Wire-to-Wire
• Stanford opened with a 10-stroke victory on its home course in the Peg Barnard Invitational. Freshman Andrea Lee led the way with rounds of 67-67 to finish at 8-under and earned medalist honors by six strokes for her third win of the season in the 12-team tournament.
Also finishing in the top 10 were senior Casey Danielson (t-4) and freshmen Madie Chou (t-8) and Albane Valenzuela (t-8).

Sugar Bowl Sensation

• The team extended its winning streak to two by capturing the 17-team Allstate Sugar Bowl Classic at English Turn Golf & Country Club in New Orleans by 11 shots. The Cardinal recorded a second round score of 8-under 278, the second-lowest in program history. Stanford completed the 54-hole event hosted by Tulane with a score of 1-under 863.

Danielson and Valenzuela sparked the triumph by tying for third at 4-over 223.
