 STANFORD, Calif. – No. 2 Stanford heads east this week for matchups at Utah on Thursday and Colorado on Sunday.

The Cardinal (10-1-0) enters the week riding an eight-game win streak, most recently defeating Arizona, 6-0, at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium on Sunday. Michelle Xiao led Stanford last week with two goals and one assist, also winning a penalty kick on Sunday that was converted by Kyra Carusa.

Stanford takes on the Utes (5-4-2, 0-2-1) in Salt Lake City on Thursday with kickoff set for 4 p.m. PT at Ute Soccer field. On Sunday, the Cardinal kicks off against the Buffaloes (7-2-3, 1-1-1) at 11 a.m. at Prentup Field in Boulder, Colorado.

Both games will broadcast live on Pac-12 Networks, and live statistics will be available at GoStanford.com.

Thursday's Opponent, Utah
• Stanford enters Thursday's matchup with a 7-1-1 all-time record against the Utes (5-4-2, 0-2-1).
• Last season, Averie Collins assisted both goals in a 2-0 win at Cagan Stadium – Kyra Carusa and Michelle Xiao each scored for Stanford.
• The Cardinal is unbeaten in its last seven meetings with Utah, the only blemish in that span coming in the form of a 1-1 double-overtime tie in Salt Lake City in 2014. Utah's last win against Stanford came in 2006 when the Cardinal opened the season with a 2-1 loss at home.
• Hailey Skolmoski leads the Utes with seven goals, and is tied with Paola van der Veen for the team lead with 15 points.
• Utah sits third in the conference in assists (29) and points (71), and ties for third in goals scored (21).

Sunday's Opponent, Colorado
• The Cardinal owns a perfect 8-0-0 all-time record against the Buffaloes (7-2-3, 1-1-1).
• Most recently, Stanford beat Colorado, 2-0, last season at Cagan Stadium. Jordan DiBiasi and Averie Collins scored for the Cardinal, which got assists from Tegan McGrady, Michelle Xio and Tierna Davidson.
• Marty Puketapu and Taylor Kornieck are tied for the team lead with five goals apiece.
• Colorado sits second in the conference behind Stanford with a 0.47 goals-against average, and is tied for second in goals allowed (six) behind the Cardinal.

Cardinal in the Polls
• Stanford earned a No. 2 ranking in three polls – United Soccer Coaches, TopDrawerSoccer and Soccer America – as well as in the NCAA RPI.
• Sitting atop the United Soccer Coaches' poll is UCLA, whom Stanford travels to face in Los Angeles on Oct. 26.
• 10 of Stanford's 19 regular season opponents were ranked or received votes in the United Coaches poll – UCLA, No. 6 USC, No. 9 Florida, No. 12 Georgetown, No. 20 California, Wisconsin (RV), Washington (RV), Arizona (RV), Washington State (RV) and Utah (RV).

A Look Back
• Stanford enters the week having started Pac-12 play with a 3-0-0 record.
• Stanford kicked off league action with a 2-1 win at Washington State (Sept. 21). Tierna Davidson and Jaye Boissiere scored in the opening half, and Alison Jahansouz preserved a 2-1 lead with a penalty-kick save in the second period.
• The Cardinal returned home on Sept. 28, defeating Arizona 1-0 at Cagan Stadium. Lauren Rood made two saves to earn her fourth shutout of the season, and Jordan DiBiasi scored the game's only goal late in the second half to secure three points.
• Stanford exploded for a six-goal output on Oct. 1, improving to 3-0-0 in conference action with another shutout over Arizona State.

What's Next?
• Stanford returns home to host Washington (Oct. 13), Oregon (Oct. 19) and Oregon State (Oct. 22).
• The Cardinal's final road trip of the season, which includes matchups at UCLA (Oct. 26) and USC (Oct. 29), could play a huge role in determining the Pac-12 winner. Entering this week, the three schools own a combined 8-0-1 record in the Pac-12 and all rank in the top six, nationally.
• Including this weekend's action, Stanford's final eight regular season games will broadcast live on Pac-12 Networks.
• Stanford's final home game will be against California on Nov. 3, which will serve as Senior Day for Stanford's graduating seniors.

Home Cookin'
• Stanford has been unstoppable at home this season, owning a 6-0-0 record.
• In those six games, Stanford has scored four or more goals five times, including three with seven or more.
• Stanford has scored 33 times at Cagan Stadium without conceding a goal.
• The Cardinal completed its four-game home stand on Sept. 1-10 with 26 goals scored and none conceded.
• Over its three matches against Navy, San Francisco and Yale, the Cardinal set a program record with 22 goals – previously, Stanford had scored 19 in a three-game stretch in 1991.
• Over that three-game stretch, 14 players earned multiple points while eight players scored multiple goals.
• Eight players were credited with five or more points in the three-game run.

Number One Offense in the Nation
• Stanford leads the nation in goals per game (4.36), assists per game (3.72), shots per game (26.18) and shots on goal per game (12.00).
• Stanford's 137 points on the season also leads the nation – in 2016, only 22 teams managed more than that, while the Cardinal has eight games remaining in the regular season.
• Last season, only 16 teams scored more goals than the Cardinal has managed in 11 games (48) this season.
• Four players rank in the top 120 in points – Catarina Macario (24), Kyra Carusa (19), Jaye Boissiere (16) and Jordan DiBiasi (13).
• Seventeen players have registered at least one point in 2017 – 11 have at least five, and six have at least 10 (Macario, Carusa, Boissiere, DiBiasi, Civana Kuhlmann and Michelle Xiao).

Leading the Pac
• Catarina Macario, Kyra Carusa and Jaye Boissiere make up three of the top four point scorers in the Pac-12.
• Three Cardinal – Boissiere, Andi Sullivan and Macario – are tied for second in the league with six assists apiece.
• In three Pac-12 contests, Stanford leads the league in goals (9) has taken 27 more shots than any other team (UCLA).

Bossing the Midfield
• Entering Stanford's matchup at Utah, Andi Sullivan, Jaye Boissiere and Jordan DiBiasi have started the past five contests together in midfield.
• The trio has combined for 37 points on the season, including 17 assists.
• Individually, Sullivan and Boissiere rank 19th, nationally, in assists with six apiece.
• Boissiere's five goals rank 120th in the nation – she scored in three straight games from Sept. 10-21, and scored all five of her goals in a six-game stretch (Sept. 1-21).
• From Sept. 1-17, Andi Sullivan recorded an assist in five straight games.
• In a three-day stretch when Stanford hosted San Francisco and Yale (Sept. 8-10), DiBiasi led the Cardinal with two goals and three assists.
• Against Arizona (Sept. 28), DiBiasi scored the game's only goal – it was her 15th career goal, and eight of those have been game winners.

Defense Doing the Job
• Nationally, the Cardinal ranks sixth in goals-against average (0.385) and seventh in shutout percentage (0.727).
• Stanford leads the Pac-12 in both major defensive categories – goals allowed (5) and goals-against average (0.42). In conference play, Stanford ties with USC for the league lead in goals allowed (1) and goals-against average (0.33).
• Despite splitting playing time, Lauren Rood and Alison Jahansouz each rank 70th in the nation with four shutouts apiece.
• Alana Cook has played nearly every minute of the season at center back.
• Tierna Davidson has started the past eight contests alongside Cook – Stanford has allowed two goals in that span.

Carusa's Career Year
• Redshirt junior Kyra Carusa ranks second on the team in goals (8) and points (19).
• Carusa's eight goals are a career high – she scored five goals in each of her first two seasons on The Farm.
• Natonally, Carusa ranks 22nd in goals and points, and ranks third in the Pac-12 in goals and points, trailing only Hailie Mace of UCLA and teammate Catarina Macario.

Macario Making her Mark
• Macario ranks ninth in the nation in goals (9), and is second in scoring among freshman, trailing only Channing Foster of Ole Miss (10).
• She leads the Pac-12 in shots (55), points (24), goals (9, tied with Mace of UCLA), and is tied for second in assists (6).
• Macario opened the season scoring at least once in each of Stanford's first seven games, including two in a 5-0 win over Wisconsin (Aug. 20).
• Through 11 games, Macario's 24 points would have ranked second on the team last season (Andi Sullivan, 29 points in 18 games).
• She has shown the ability to create her own shot, create chances for teammates, hold up the ball and work hard without the ball.

Freshmen in the Mix
• Stanford's freshmen have combined to account for 31 percent of the team's goals (15 of 48) and points (43 of 137).
• Macario, Kiki Pickett and Civana Kuhlmann have appeared in every contest, combining for 27 starts.
• Macario leads the conference in points (24), and Kuhlmann is one of six Cardinal with 10 or more points.
• Pickett has cemented her place as Stanford's first-choice right back, and has shown the ability to attack and defend at a high level.
• Madison Haley has scored two goals and assisted another in six appearances, and Belle Briede has registered two assists from the midfield.
• Other freshman to appear in 2017 are defenders Jojo Harber (seven appearances) and Sophia Serafin (five appearances).

For Card and Country
• Sophomore Tierna Davidson earned her second call up to the United States Women's National Team on Sept. 7, joining the squad following Stanford's 7-0 win against Yale.
• Jill Ellis previously called on Davidson for a training camp on Jan. 13-23, but Davidson has yet to earn her first senior team cap.
• Davidson joined former Cardinal Kelley O'Hara, Christen Press and Jane Campbell in the squad.
• Davidson was the youngest member of the team and only current collegiate athlete to make the team.
 
MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List
• Central midfielders Sullivan and Davidson were named to the watch list for the Missouri Athletic Club's Hermann Trophy, the highest honor in collegiate soccer.
• Sullivan, a three-time United Coaches' All-Pacific Region selection and the reigning Pac-12 Player of the Year, makes the list for the third consecutive season.
• Davidson, who was named to TopDrawerSoccer's Freshman Best XI, the All-Pac-12 second team and Pac-12 All-Freshman team, was one of five players to start all 21 matches in 2016.
• This is the third consecutive season in which Stanford has had multiple players selected to the watch list – goalkeeper Jane Campbell joined Sullivan in each of the past two seasons.
 
2017 Season Highlights
• After a relatively pedestrian three games of offense (five goals in three games), Stanford erupted for a 6-0 win over Arizona State on Oct. 1. Michelle Xiao scored twice, and Catarina Macario, Jordan DiBiasi, Kyra Carusa and Mariah Lee pitched in one goal apiece.
• Stanford returned from a two-game road trip on Sept. 28, defeating Arizona, 1-0. Jordan DiBiasi scored her eighth career game winner for the game's only goal.
• The Cardinal opened conference play with a 2-1 win at Washington State (Sept. 21). Stanford's unbeaten run in conference openers extended to 17 seasons thanks to goals from Tierna Davidson and Jaye Boissiere, and a timely penalty-kick save by Alison Jahansouz in the 62nd minute.
• Stanford wrapped up nonconference play with a 2-1 win over Santa Clara (Sept. 17). Jaye Boissiere opened the scoring in the 49th minute, and Michelle Xiao scored the winner in the 75th after the Broncos equalized.
• The Cardinal kept its unbeaten run at home alive with a 7-0 win against Yale (Sept. 10). Seven Cardinal scored goals – Jordan DiBiasi, Catarina Macario, Sam Tran, Jaye Boissiere, Michelle Xiao, Averie Collins and Madison Haley. Alison Jahansouz improved to 3-1-0 as a starter with her third shutout.
• Stanford improved to 20-0-0 all-time against USF with an 8-0 win on Sept. 8. Kyra Carusa, Civana Kuhlmanna, Tierna Davidson, DiBiasi, Macario, Haley, Collins and Mariah Lee scored one goal apiece, while Lauren Rood earned her third shutout in as many starts.
• Stanford improved to 4-0-1 on Sept. 3 with a 7-0 win over Navy. Kyra Carusa scored a brace, and Jaye Boissiere, Catarina Macario, Mariah Lee, Civana Kuhlmann and Andi Sullivan pitched in a goal apiece. Alison Jahansouz improved to 2-1-0 with the shutout.
• The Cardinal opened its home schedule with a 4-0 win over No. 10 Georgetown (Sept. 1). Catarina Macario, Civana Kuhlmann, Jaye Boissiere and Kyra Carusa scored for Stanford. Lauren Rood got the shutout, her second one in as many career starts.
• Stanford suffered a setback at No. 8 Florida on Aug. 25, dropping a narrow 3-2 decision. Catarina Macario and Beattie Goad scored, but Florida got two goals in quick succession near the end of the second period to claim the win.
• Stanford improved to 2-0-0 with a 5-0 win over Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Catarina Macario scored twice, and Sam Hiatt, Kyra Carusa and Civana Kuhlmann added goals. Lauren Rood earned the shutout in her first career start.
• The Cardinal opened the season with a 4-0 win at Marquette. Alison Jahansouz saved an early penalty to keep the match at 0-0 before Catarina Macario, Kyra Carusa (2) and Mariah Lee scored. Jahansouz earned the shutout with three saves.
