STANFORD, Calif. - It was a tie game until the last 20 seconds when junior, Hedy Born took the ball to goal and scored the game winner.
Coach Connor said, "This team played their game. I am so proud. We practiced hard this week, made the necessary changes after our lose to Duquesne and came out focused. This is the first game that I can truly say that we played the full 60 minutes. There was no mental letdown. This was our game from the start. It proved a lot to us as we head toward even tougher games in the weeks to come. It proved that we have the power to control the outcome of a game."
Seniors Alexis Patrizio and Carey Jones had spectacular games. They gave it all today and it showed.
UP NEXT....Johns Hopkins @ home on Friday, March 19th @ 3:30pm
This is the next test for us. Hopkins will be tough. This is their first year as a Div. I program. They just switched this year from Div. III to I. But they come from an area rich in lacrosse tradition. We expect it to be an incredibly tough game on Friday, but we're ready to prove ourselves again.
