Men's Volleyball Sweeps UC Santa Cruz

STANFORD, Calif. - The Stanford men's volleyball team swept UC Santa Cruz in just over one hour tonight at Burnham Pavilion. Game scores were 15-2, 15-6, 15-4.

Stanford's Brad Griffith scored a career-high six service aces while Dan Zhang posted a career-high six digs for the Cardinal. Marcus Skacel led all attackers with 11 kills.

Sophomore outside hitter Curtis Graham saw his first action of the season for Stanford, recording four kills, threee digs and two blocks. Chris Griffith recorded a season high six kills on the night.

As a team, Stanford was outblocked by UC Santa Cruz 9-7, but held the Banana Slugs to a -.025 hitting percentage. The Cardinal improves to 10-9, while the Slugs fall to 4-15.

Stanford will close out its home regular season schedule vs.12th-ranked Pacific on Tues., April 13. The match will begin at 7 p.m. in Burnham.
