COLUMBUS, Ga. - In a rematch one of last season's NCAA Regional finals, the Stanford softball team fell to No. 15 Oklahoma State, 4-3, in eight innings at the NFCA Leadoff Classic. Senior Marcy Crouch took the loss on the mound despite allowing just two earned runs and seven hits and striking out four.
The Cardinal (10-3) rebounded with with a 4-0 victory over NE Louisiana behind senior Becky Blevins' complete-game two-hitter. Blevins also recorded seven strikeouts in picking up her sixth win of the season. Freshman centerfielder Jessica Mendoza went 2-for-2 at the plate with a double and two rbi.
Stanford returns to action tomorrow when it faces Central Michigan at 7:00 a.m. PST.
