CORVALLIS, Ore. - UCLA and Oregon State won every event as the two teams finished first and second at the 1999 Pacific-10 Gymnastics Championships in Corvallis on Saturday.
The Bruins claimed top honors with a 197.775, while Oregon State scored a 197.400. Arizona State placed third with a 196.025. Arizona and Stanford tied for fourth at 195.150, while Washington was sixth with a 194.425. Cal placed seventh with a 192.475.
UCLA's Heidi Moneymaker was named Pac-10 Gymnast of the Year, and OSU's Tanya Chaplin was Coach of the Year. Moneymaker won the all-around with a 39.675, and she tied for first on vault with a 9.925.
OSU's Danae Phillips and Lara Degenhardt both scored perfect 10.0's to win bars and floor respectively. Megan Murphy-Barcroft tied Moneymaker for the top spot on vault, and the OSU senior also won beam with a score of 9.95.
