Women's Lacrosse Falls to Duquesne

March 7, 1999

STANFORD, Calif. - This was a tough loss, especially after going up 7-1 in the beginning of the second half. Obviously, we had a major mental breakdown. We just mentally shut down after establishing a comfortable lead in the first half and never really came out to play the second half with the same intensity. These are the kind of lapses that let a team back into the race.

IT was a hard week to prepare for such a game. We had two easy games in a row against Santa Clara and St. Mary's College. These games were blow-outs, truly not the type of preparatin you need for the tough games.

Holy Cross will be the same type of game as this one. They will come out with great stick skills and speed. If we play our game, we can come up with the win. If we mentally give-up, it's debatable.

UP NEXT: Holy Cross, Saturday March 13th @ 1pm.
