Women's Tennis Team Tops Arizona

STANFORD, Calif. - The No. 5 Stanford women's tennis team outlasted 24th-ranked Arizona 7-2 at Taube Family Tennis Stadium this afternoon.

The win begins a new win streak for Stanford, who saw its 52 home dual meet win streak come to an end with a heartbreaking 5-4 loss to California last weekend.

Stanford improves to 4-1 in conference play, 12-2 overall. Arizona remains winless in Pac-10 competition (0-4) and drops to 4-6 overall.

Stanford remains at home tomorrow afternoon for continuing Pac-10 action. No. 12 Arizona State will visit Taube Family Tennis Stadium on Sat. March 6. Matches will begin at noon.
