STANFORD, Calif. - The No. 5 Stanford women's tennis teamdefeated 12th-ranked Arizona State 6-3 at Taube Family Tennis Stadiumthis afternoon.
The win marked the 19th consecutive time Stanford has swept theArizona schools in the 90s, after the Cardinal outlasted Arizona lastnight.
Stanford improves to 5-1 in conference play, 13-2 overall. Arizona Stateevens its record to 4-4 overall, and drops to 1-4 in the Pac-10.
Stanford will return to action against Northwestern on Tues.,March 23. The non-conference matchup will begin at Taube Family TennisStadium at 1:30 p.m.
