Men's Golf Tied for Third After Second Day Of The Nelson Invitational

The men's golf team is hosting the Nelson Invitational this weekend at the Stanford Golf Course. This three day event hosts 20 teams from around the nation, including No. 1 Northwestern and No. 5 Arizona State. After the second day of play, and two rounds, Stanford is tied for third with No. 13 Washington.

After two rounds, Fresno State and Northwestern are tied for first with scores of 563 each, five under par. Stanford is only three away from the lead, with 566 (two under par.)

Senior team captain Dusty Brett leads the Cardinal after two rounds with a score of 140 after turning in rounds of 73 and 67. Jimmy Lee is tied for 14th place with a score of 141, along with freshman Ron Won, who is playing as an individual. Philip Rowe is tied for 18th with rounds of 71 and 71 for a total of 142.

The final round will be played Sunday, Oct. 31, with a 7:30 tee time.
