GOLETA, Calif. - Stanford outscored UC Santa Barbara 3-0 in the first period and never looked back in scoring a 7-2 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation decision at UCSB on Sunday.
Jonathan Skaalen and Jeff Nesmith each scored a two-pointer to pace the Cardinal attack.
Freshman Nick Ellis collected five saves in goal for the Cardinal.
Stanford travels to Pacific on Saturday (Nov. 13) for a league game at noon. The Cardinal then returns home on Sunday (Nov. 14) host UCSB.
