Stanford, Calif. -- Rain forced the cancellation of the Stanford men's and women's tennis matches versus San Diego State today at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium. The matches will not be rescheduled for another day.
Weather permitting, tomorrow, the second-ranked Stanford men's tennis team will face No. 61 Georgia Tech, while the top-ranked Stanford women's team will take on No. 38 San Diego. Both matches will begin at noon.
The women's match will be highlighted by the matchup of Stanford sophomore Marissa Irvin and San Diego's Zuzana Lesenarova. The two players met in the finals of the 1999 NCAA singles championship, where Lesenarova defeated Irvin 4-6, 6-3, 7-6 (3).
