Women's Gymnastics Defeats Boise State 195.775-196.825

Senior Larissa Fontaine matched the Stanford record on the vault with a score of 9.975 in the Cardinal's win over Boise State 195.775-196.825 on Sunday, Feb. 13. Led by Fontaine's performance, Stanford set new season highs in every event with a 49.025 in the vault, 49.225 on the bars, 49.350 on the balance beam, and 49.225 on the floor.

Fontaine continued her great season by taking first place and setting a new career high in the all-around with a score of 39.650. She shared the event title on the bars with teammate Katy Herbert with a score of 9.9. Herbert finished second in the all-around competition with a career-high 39.4. Freshman Abby Gair took the event title on the balance beam with a score of 9.925, and fellow freshman Kelsey Stillinger took third with a score of 9.875.

The Cardinal (5-2, 2-2 Pac-10) will remain at home next weekend to host cross-bay rival Cal on Friday, Feb. 18 at 7:30 p.m. and BYU on Monday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m.
