Stanford Moves Into a Tie for Third After Third Day Of NCAA Fencing Championships

Stanford, Calif. - Stanford fencing has moved into a tie for third place with Notre Dame with 132 points after the third day of competition.

Felix Reichling leads the foil competition after four rounds with 13 victories. Reichling is the defending NCAA Champion in the foil. Alex Wood is currently in seventh place in the foil. In the men's epee, Stanford's Robert Owens is tied for fourth place and David LaValle is in sixth. Eric Tribbett is in sixth place in the men's sabre, and Tom Hunt is in 18th.

Penn State continues to lead the team competition with 143 points. St. John's is in second with 134 and Notre Dame and Stanford are tied for third with 132 points.

The final day of competition will begin on Sunday, March 26 with rounds 5-7 of the men's foil and epee. The final in the foil and epee will be held at 12:15, the final in the men's sabre will be held at 3:45.
