STANFORD, CA - UC Santa Cruz scored the first goal of today's game within 4 minutes, but it was also the last goal they would score all day. Stanford defeated the Banana Slugs 22-1 with 10 different Cardinal players adding goals. Senior Hedy Born led the team with four goals, while sophomore Caroline Osterwise, along with freshman Kim Cahill and Lauren Dietrich each added 3 goals. Osterwise and freshman Liz Lanese also each added 3 assists.
The Cardinal have won each of their last 4 games and are looking to come out strong against tough east-coast competitor Cornell next weekend. The game will be at Maloney field on Saturday, March 18, at 1:00pm.
