Women's Lacrosse Sweeps Double-Header

March 5, 2000

STANFORD, CA - After defeating St. Mary's College 12-5 in the opening game, the Cardinal went on to crush Regis College 23-0 today on Maloney Field Freshman Sarah Sawyer led the team with 7 total goals and three additional Stanford players added 5 goals apiece. The team looked unstoppable with 26 caused turnovers on defense and 12 different players scoring on offense.

In the first game, freshman goalkeeper Rachael Neumann tallied 10 saves in goal, with 4 clears. Against Regis College, the Cardinal enjoyed a quick open and shut victory, allowing zero goals or shots in either half.

The women take on Cornell, tomorrow, Sunday March 5, at noon.
