Women's Gymnastics Finish Third at NCAA Regional Championships

Corvallis, Oregon - The Stanford women's gymnastic team finished third at the NCAA Region I Championships with a team score of 195.975 on April 1. UCLA took first place with a score of 197.025, and host Oregon State finished second with a total of 196.175.

Individually, sophomore Katy Herbert tied for first on the balance beam with UCLA's Mohini Bhardwaj with a score of 9.925. This marks the second time Herbert has tied for first on the beam in the Regional Championships, tying for first last season as well. Junior Jen Exaltacion finished in a tie for third place in the all-around with a score of 39.300. Her best finish was on the beam, taking third place with a score of 9.9. Senior Larissa Fontaine finished second on the vault with a score of 9.925, took fourth on the bars with a score of 9.850, and placed 12th in the all-around with a total of 38.950. Senior Sarah Harding placed in tie for fourth on the floor with a score of 9.9.
