Stanford, Calif. - The Stanford men's crew lost to No. 13 Temple University by 7.5 seconds on Saturday, May 20 at Redwood Shores. Temple jumped-out on the Cardinal early and had a seven-seat lead through 500 meters. At 1000 meters Stanford was down by six seconds. Stanford had a clean second half of the race, including a strong sprint with 500 meters remaining, but the Cardinal were unable to gain ground on the Temple eight. Temple finished with a time of 5:40.7 seconds while Stanford crossed the finish line in 5:48.2, the fastest time of the season for the Cardinal.
