Stanford Men's Golf In Third After First Day of US Intercollegiate
Eric Dahlberg leads the way for the Cardinal, tied for fifth place after two rounds.

Stanford, Calif. - Junior Eric Dahlberg is tied for fifth place with an even-par two round total of 142. Dahlberg shot rounds of 70 and 72 to lead the Cardinal to a third place showing with a total of 577 after the first day of the US Intercollegiate, hosted by Stanford at the par-71, 6786 yard Stanford Golf Course May 6-7.
After two rounds, Pepperdine leads the field with a total score of 571. California is in second with 575. Michael Beard of Pepperdine leads the individuals with a four-under total of 138 after shooting two rounds of 69. Jason Allred of Pepperdine is in second with a total of 139.
Cardinal junior Alex Aragon is in a tie for seventh place after shooting rounds of 69 and 74 for a two-round total of 143. Freshman Jim Seki is tied for 20th place with a total of 146, and senior Dusty Brett is in a tie for 23rd place with a total of 147. Junior Jimmy Lee is in a tie for 48th place with a two-round total of 150.
Competing as individuals, Del deWindt is tied for 91st place with a total of 160, and Ned Yetten is in 97th place with a total of 166.
The final round of the US Intercollegiate will be played Sunday, May 7 with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
