A total of 34 athletes and coaches associated with Stanford competed in the 2000 Sydney Summer Games. The athletes won a total of 10 medals (4 gold, 3 silver, 3 bronze) during the Games. Olympic and Stanford head women's swimming coach Richard Quick coached 16 medalists in Games (7 gold, 2 silver, 7 bronze).
