The Stanford women's golf team shot a 307 today to sit in sixth place after the first round at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational hosted by the University of Washington. Southern California is currently first, shooting a four-over par 292 on the day. Rounding out the top five are Pepperdine (304), Washington (305), Tulsa (306) and UCLA (306). Stanford's Stephanie Keever and USC's Nicole Dalkas are tied for first place after shooting two-under par 70 at Sahalee Country Club.
The tournament was delayed for two hours and 30 minutes shortly after play began due to lighting.
Senior Stephanie Keever carded a two-under 70 to tie for first individually with USC's Nicole Dalkas on day one. Freshman Angelo Rho checked in with a three-over-par 75 and is tied for 12th. Senior Hilary Homeyer shot a five-over-par 77 and is tied for 21st. Sophomore Kim Rowton is tied for 67th (85) while junior Jessica Belskis is tied for 76th (87).
The second day of play begins at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at Sahalee.
