Stanford Women's Gymnastics Triumphs Over Cal 196.950-196.075

Berkeley, Calif. -- 
Stanford (3-1 overall, 2-1 Pac-10) edged cross-bay rival California in a dual meet on Sunday afternoon 196.950-196.075. Freshman Lindsay Wing embodied consistency to take the top-spot in the All-Around with a 39.400, marking her fourth AA first-place finish of the year while . Classmate Caroline Fluhrer took second place, trailing her teammate with a 39.325.

Wing and senior Jen Exaltacion tied for first place on the beam with a score of 9.950. The mark set a new career-high for Exaltacion. Lise Leveille also recorded a new career-high with a 9.975 on the floor exercise as she took first place in the event. Wing and Fluhrer tied with California's Carrie Kreifels for first on the uneven bars with a score of 9.900.

Stanford returns to competition on Fri., Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m. when the Cardinal takes on the Arizona Wildcats in Tucson, Ariz. for the Pac-10 match-up.
