STANFORD, Calif. --The No. 5-ranked Stanford women's gymnastics team defeated No. 18 Brigham Young 196.875-195.225 tonight at Burnham Pavilion in the Cardinal's last home meet of the year. The dual marked senior Jen Exaltacion's last home competition as a member of the Cardinal squad. She finished in a tie for first place on the beam with a 9.950 - matching her career-best score that she set earlier this year against California on Feb. 18.
Consistent freshman Lindsay Wing claimed her fifth All-Around title of the year, setting a new career-high mark with a 39.750, which is good for second-best in Stanford history. Wing grabbed first place on the floor (9.975) and the vault (9.875) while she tied for first on the beam (9.950) and the bars (9.950).
The team set a new season record on the uneven bars with a 49.550. The previous mark of 49.425 was set against Arizona State on Feb. 9.
The Cardinal return to action when they travel to Provo, Utah for a re-match against the Cougars on Sat., Feb. 10 at 7:30 p.m.
