Muncie, Ind. - Jenn Budney scored on a penalty corner with 15:25 remaining to lift Ball State (3-1) to a 1-0 victory over Stanford (3-6) in an NCAA field hockey game on Tuesday at the BSU Field Hockey Field. Monika Rhode and Heather Weinhold were both credited with assists in the contest.
Stanford goalkeeper Rebecca Shapiro was credited with eight saves, while Ball State's Susan McDowell recorded her second shutout of the year and six saves.
